4 July – 27 August 2017

The Nivaagaard Collection presents the film:
‘Nivaagaard Park 1901-2017’

By Mette Mærsk – A VISUAL VVORK production

The film takes the form of a chronological collage that tells the story of Nivaagaard Park from 1901 to the present day. In a lyrical tone we learn about the Hage family, botany, and artistic visions. It is the story of an organic piece of cultural heritage that never stops evolving. The film features the contributions of, among others, the director of the Hageske Foundation, Jørgen Hage, nurseryman Svend Hansen, the scout hut Kærnehuset, previous museum director Michael Bjørn Nellemann, information specialist Knud Høgsberg, and the trio Vi Sidder Bare Here (We Are Just Sitting Here) featuring Frithjof Toksvig, Mikael Simpson and Jørgen Leth.

The film will be screened throughout the summer in the World’s Smallest Art Cinema at the park’s next door neighbour, The Nivaagaard Collection.
Entry to the screenings is free of charge for paying visitors to the museum.
