School visit to The Nivaagaard Collection
The Nivaagaard Collection offers school pupils courses on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings, where pupils are given a unique opportunity to learn more about art, culture, Danish and European history and, not least, the evolution of the visual arts over a period of more than 500 years.
The courses at the museum are held in front of the paintings themselves. The teaching is dialogue-based so as to provide students with tools with which to study paintings on their own, both at the museum and when they are back in the classroom. To pique our students’ curiosity about the artworks, we make an effort to engage students through dialogue and practical exercises.
Pupils are permitted to eat a packed lunch at the museum.
Duration: 1 hour / 2 hours
Price: DKK 300 / DKK 450 – The courses are free for schools and institutions in Fredensborg Municipality
Booking: Ditte Jacobsen, Head of Education: dj@nivaagaard.dk.
